sorcyress: Just a picture of my eye (Me-Eye)

Wow, I'm hella late with this...

The Importance of Being Ernest (Which is mega-awesome, playwise) is being preformed at Long Reach High School tonight and tomorrow at 7 PM. Tickets cost 5$ for students, and 7$ for adults. I personally am not in or teching it, but I helped with the set some (which is Godly) and I'm going to be loitering around being hlepful.

So, for those who don't bother reading paragraphs...

What: The Importance of Being Ernest, an awesome play
When: Tonight (Friday) and Saterday at 7 PM (1900 hours)
Where: Long Reach High School (e-mail me for directions, or just google-maps it or something)
Cost: 5$ students, and 7$ adults

And the Why: is of course because Oscar Wilde was brilliant, and it's HILARIOUS! I saw it last night, so I can assure you of that one.

See you there!

Mm, yep. I remember doing the whole helping with the set thing for high school plays. I was even in one... it was one of those that has a large cast where there's a bunch of people in a chorus and almost everyone in Drama Club is in it. Mostly, though, I helped with the sets (painting and paper mache mostly) and was an usher. It was still fun.

Foo on painting! Thats a stagecraft one kid job! Us cool stagecraft two kiddos like building 20 foot diamerter rotating platforms with 12 foot walls!

Yes, there will be pictures. Many, many, many, many pictures. Maybe I will share.

Ooo.

Well, there were only two power drills on set days... that, and I could only get a screw in straight about 50% of the time. :P

Actually, I did help make multi-purpose cubes for a set once... I was even asked to use my l33t m4th sk1llz to determine the dimensions of each face of the cube, given the wood we had. I helped construct and paint them, too.

We only have more drills because all the really cool kids (not me..*tear*) brought theirs from home.

And yay for both cubes AND leet math skillz! I find myself using those quite often, isn't it fun?

And only 50%? You need more practise, m'dear.

I had to pay for adult tickets. I'm a poor starving college student though!

What! Thats terribly unfair!! I can understand making BigBilly have to pay for adult tickets, as he's not a student in any way, but you are!! How awful!

And people wonder why I'm in no hurry to grow up...
