Life on a plane...
Well, not on a plane. Not with any snakes, either, unless you count Jan, but he's busy having rodents thrown at him. Sorry --small mammels. Same difference.
Going to the pool party at Ednoria's today, and video night tonight. It's been a VERY social few days. V came over Wednesday and stayed over until Thursday, Thursday night her me, Eric, mom, and Nik went to see SNAKES ON A MOTHERLUVIN PLANE! (more on that later) Friday was, of course, maulling, and then Luna came over, which was EXCELLENT, as I haven't gotten a proper Luna-fix in *months* And now I have Spy vs Spy: Snakes on a Plane edition fanart. It's the first non me-drawn picture to go up in the general nest-type area.
Also stayed up *entierly* too late chatting with Tho last night. Whoops. BUT! it did mean that I got to see Allyson in passing, which was very nice. She's doing alright, and I have strict orders to ask Jeremy about the yuri paddle. This'll be *fun*.
Oh yeah, I still have Gingur's hat too. Curses!!
Y'all who replyed get bonus points for being flattering to me, even if I did request it. Probably my favorite line was from an anonymous poster1 --"You move like water in sunlight" Which is blatently untrue, I'm only graceful when I'm not being watched, otherwise I have the habit of falling of chairs, especially when V takes up all the space I had on the chair by chatting to my friends. Bitch. (Kidding!) But I just thought it was a pretty line.
And I'm amused that Sashi2 thinks I should get rid of my braces. I agree, highly. Most of my body I'm remarkably pleased with, but I freaking HATE having braces.
One person somewhat hit upon the speculation that *I* have for why people are attracted to me -because I tend to make people feel good about themselves. I think it would be harder to do if I didn't know so many rediculously awesome people.
'senough babbling about that. 'sides, I'm stil missing at least two comments that I'm expecting. More soul searching, later.
Sooooo...
Snakes on a Plane: Motherfucking awesome.
I actually really really enjoyed it. Call it a lack of any taste in movies, but I thought it was rediculously over the top, and fun the whole way along. Lots of shadenfreude3 and lots and lots of snakes on a plane.
Going to an early showing may have been the best way to do it. Lots of theatre-cheering (I would *love* to see the Mechanics do this one, though I'm not sure there'd be anything there to snark...) and the entire theatre chanted along with The Line.
The ending made me giggle muchly -that will someday be my brother, I swear it! And letssee...Mary-Kate got eaten -YES! Stupid pretentious british guy got eaten -YES!! The kids made it to the very end -Yayness! So did the rapper -Well, you can't have everything.
I'm especially fond of the herptologist, and would be totally willing to waste my money on this movie again sometime. I do somewhat wish that I had someone next to me who's hand I could grab at the scary things, but that's less because I got scared out of my brain, and more because I think movie-watching is meant to be a social activity, and not having someone to cuddle with makes Sorcy lonely. And, sorry Nik, but younger brother's just don't cut it.
I would just like to take a moment to say that Avenue Q is completely amazing. This intermission brought to you by shuffle finding me "You can be as loud as the hell you want (when you're making love)" which is a rediculously long title.
...And a slightly awkward scene to watch if you're sitting right next to your dad. Yeeeeeeeeahhh...
One of the random things I've been thinking about is trying to make what would sortof be the iconic Sorcy CD. Not nessecarily the favorite songs of the moment, but the songs that I like most and feel define best the wildly different genres I listen to. It would so clearly start with Science Fiction Double Feature (you're suprised?) and probably end with Journey of the Sorcerer. I've got a few other ideas I've found for inbetween. Anyways, we'll see if I do anything with that.
This post is probably more then enough babbling, and I totally expect you lot to skip over most of it, just as I skip over most of your posts. Liverjournal --bringing us closer together since 2000.
