(no subject)

So, I just spent three and a half hours sitting in the Lesley Library, reading back issues of the journal "Mathematics Teaching in the Middle School" and writing reviews/analysis of certain articles.

I'm pretty much in heaven. Teaching? Is so totally what I want to do with the rest of my life. I just have to get there.

MOOP!

ETA: And by writing, I mean over five thousand words worth, on five articles. I'm only about half done. This is a ridiculous amount of verbiage, and if I could ever apply this sort of focus to an actual fiction project, I would be the queen of the novels. Which is also what I want to do with the rest of my life, once I get there.

I have totally found that reacting to things -- especially when I disagree, but also when I see something missing or spot a connection that isn't made clear -- is what gets me writing more than anything else.

This seems related to your note-taking, possibly.

I'm glad you're enjoying it, and you can do it! Almost there!

If you need any company of the quiet and also working sort for added motivation, let me know! (It helps me. I've no idea whether it helps you too.) I'm free tomorrow.

High word count is not a reliable measure of quality! Revisit your work after a couple of days and edit!
