Proper updates might happen someday --the last four days have been a whirlwind of people and games and dancing and snuggling and movies, and it looks like the next few are going to be more of the same, perhaps with a bit more cleaning involved.

But it occurs to me that Yuletide fics are public, and I really am kinda proud of mine, even if it was last-minute and unbeta'd (I'm sorry [livejournal.com profile] willowbough! You deserved better, I just didn't plan well for Yuletide plus finals!). And I mean, it's for a series of books that I suspect no one other than my mom has read, so that's lovely obscure, but still. I like the story even if no one else does.

It is called 'Snow in the City' and you can read it here. It's a one-shot fanfic of the Melendy quartet books by Elizabeth Enright --The Saturdays, Four Story Mistake, And Then There Were Five, and Spiderweb for Two, and it focuses mostly on Randy.

And yes, it was entirely inspired by walking through my city with snow falling down around my face.

I didn't know anyone else of my generation had read those books.
And I think your Randy is spot-on.
