Some thoughts on some things:

I find it interesting that my father and I both have a type in girl-watching --girls wearing short skirts, stockings, and boots.

I find it distressing that that's a look that looks really really good on me, and I enjoy wearing somewhat frequently.

I think it is time for a minor room adjustment --get more milk crate shelves, move around some of the pictures on the wall of warm fuzzies, and give myself more vertical storage. Wonder if my printer would fit in a milk crate. Hrm.

I do so love vertical storage, for what it's worth. Being short, there's all this...space up there that I'm not using and feel I should be. Shelves are good for this.

Presentation poster thing went much better than hoped. Yay me!

Game theory is my New Best Friend.

X years ago today --two years ago today, it was 2007, and I got accepted to college! Squee!!

All for now.

You do look good in short skirts, stockings, and boots. Mmm.

Vertical storage is awesome. I'm currently contemplating a net above my door to hold my sleeping bag. Being tall, it's a little easier for me to make use of, but really, stepladders are fine. Especially since my dream is to have a library with 10+ foot ceilings and a rolling ladder. If you ever want advice or help for putting up shelves, let me know -- I've made a lot of them.

Oh, I just make my shelves out of milk crates. It works more or less brilliantly for me.

Mm, library.

Milk crates are pretty good, but above a certain height they tend to lack a certain... stability. Admittedly, I do tend to overengineer things. Though I bet they would be fine if they were actually attached to the wall; I may have to try that sometime.

Also, yay game theory. Have you heard of Swoopo (http://www.swoopo.com/)? It seems to function somewhat like a dollar auction, which is fascinating given that people seem to actually use it.

Just in case you're not aware...that's far from an uncommon type to have. Why distressing? Boundaries are boundaries.

So the obvious next question is...do you and werewulf have the same taste in men? How about it - eyepatches do anything for you?

When I was your age my mother and I used to be glued to the TV for an hour every week drooling over Pierce Brosnan. It didn't bother either of us to be attracted to the same guy. On the other hand Dad was seriously unhappy about it ;-)

*grins*

We both go for the sociopath a little bit. Oh, *Sylar!*

She's much more into anti-heroes than I am. I like 'em tall dark and evil, wheras she perfers 'em tall dark and badass.

Not just stockings, FISHNETS or the ones with the little lines up the back. OKTHNXBYE.

Maybe body-type?

(Anonymous) 2009-04-01 09:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Do you have a body-type similar to your mother? If I had to make a guess I'd suggest that maybe she looks good in that and that you have not too surprisingly inherited that characteristic. And presumably your father would marry someone who he thought was hot so...
