A lot's been going on. I'm still safe, thank god.
The grandparents came home about ten minutes after my last post. They had been walking or something, and were both infected. I...I had to kill my grandfather. Grandma I managed to merely lock out of the house.
Me and Aly decided to run at that point. I wanted to go off and find Veronica, and Aly really wanted to check on her Allie. We quarreled, I'm ashamed to say, and split up. Yes, I know, don't split up.
I grabbed V and told her of the attacks. She...didn't believe me, really, but at least she came with me when I said I had to get Aly back. We didn't see any zombies on the way to the school, but the closer the got, the quieter the world went.
Aly was safe. She and Allie and Mr. Fyer had holed up in a corner of the music hallway --cinderblock walls and thick wooden doors, I think they're safe.
Me and V decided to make sure there weren't any zombies left in the school. We found several of our old teachers, all safe. The trouble came when we split up, V to go check on guidence, me to check on my favourite math teacher, Mr. Smith. He was outside in one of the portables. They're surprisingly easy to get into, when I found him, he was dead. For about thirty seconds. Guess I got to him just as the virus took full hold.
We didn't have time to check on Aly, so I just grabbed V and we ran. The guidence ladies didn't belive my shouts, hopefully they'll be alright.
We had to fight off about seven zombies on the way back. The worst was a pair of them, who came at us out of the bushes. Hopefully, neither of us is infected, though V got scratched. It can't be transmitted by just a scratch, it has to be a bite, right?
We're at home now. I hope Aly's alright. Grandma's long since gone, but Alex is back --as he puts it "I believe that's the first time I've ever been threatened with a softball bat" His eyes looked normal, though, and no visable scratches. Hopefully he'll still be alright in a couple hours.
Eating lunch, checking on people.
shadowcaptain and
disc_sophist seem to be the worst off on my list. Crossed fingers for both of them. I'm really glad I'm not in DC right now.
Stay safe, everybody. Please.
