The #1 thing I learned about living in the dorms is ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS take your keys with you.
And many soda machines that cost more than $1 will take a dollar bill and give you quarters if you hit the "coin return" button.
Those are two things they won't teach you during orientation.

CONGRATS KAT!!! i knew you could do it. i know you were worried but, there is a place for everyone in college and the fact you got a scholarhship!? i am so proud. :)

How many other schools are you waiting to hear from?
Did you do the visiting thing to your satisfaction before applying, or are you going to need to come up and take a look in order to decide where you're going once you've heard from all corners?

As for visiting, I popped up last Octoberish with dad (who is less willing to visit random people for the hell of it then mum is) and found the place satisfactory but not perfect.
However, being as it was the only place that accepted me, AND being that it's in Boston (Which I seriously love) I'll take it. Plus, everyone who's actually heard of the school tells me it'll be good for me, so yayforthat.
