I do believe I am packed!

Well, I mean, I still need my toothbrush, pretty dress, coat, pills, and a whole bunch of other last minute small items. But by and large, I am packed and ready to go back home, which is always super bittersweet. Am I excited as hell to be home? yes! Am I already stressed about "what happens next"? Yes! Am I prepared for work on Monday? Absolutely not!

Sunday is going to be a Day Of Rest, by which I mean "hopefully more reading books and napping than playing mindless video games" but maybe I can sneak some prep work in there as well. Gotta finish up an assessment for Geometry later in the week? Literally no idea what I'm doing for Algebra but luckily it's not my job to design that curriculum? That can all work out.

Also oh man am I ready to re-settle my sleep schedule. It's not summer, I can't fully free-run, and so while on the one hand it's been awesome to sleep from like 4am to 1pm, on the other, my real optimal schedule involves sleeping from like 2-10, so this is just a little skewed too far. I do continue to dream desperate dreams about finding a life where I'm not...stuck waking up at six every morning.

I am not excited to be out-of-proximity with mek again. It's really good to get to spend time in his presence, doing interesting things and chatting and watching media and goofing off and steadfastly refusing to play the panty-stealer game he found somewhere. I miss him when I am far away (but I also miss my east coast loves when I'm out here. It's all its own mess, and we need teleporters.)

I am not excited to find out what the Boston weather is doing. Hey ho, it's been high seventies the last few days of my life, and I am _thrilled_. Shorts and sundresses, my babes!

Airplane plans are _probably_ gonna wind up being "read books" but I wouldn't mind having a version where I do like...music organizing or photo organizing? We'll see what happens, certainly.

(Oh, another thing I am excited for, I should get to see my middle sister for a few hours tomorrow, as I layover in Seattle! I haven't seen her or her partner Lexi since like...FebruaryXmas, which was in '23, so that's a cool year or so. Looking forward to it!)

And that's where we're at. mek and I have thoroughly optimized several PlateUp restaurants, and are well on our way to creating a hot-dog-carosel (a la sushi train). We fully watched two shows --Dungeon Meshi (or at least what is out so far) and Total Forgiveness, as well as lots of random episodes of things. We went outside nearly every day, at least for a little while, and made it onto the train lots of those days (trains are good!) I am happy and fulfilled and rested and ready to kick the ass of the rest of the year.

(And I'm only a little sad that I'm not at NEFFA this weekend and seeing people.)

I hope your life is lovely, and that you can make it a good one!
