I enjoyed listening to Connie Willis at a Con and have enjoyed those of her books I have read though they can be LONG with lots of description. 11 Hugo and 7 Nebula means that someone else thinks she writes well. There is an event in I think Doomsday Book that I think of when reading some of your posts (trying to avoid spoilers). The Best of Connie Willis I enjoyed for the skill but man, what a hard group of stories to read ... I mean REALLY hard for me.
