Good from today:

*I did not play any solo video games. (I did play three and a half hours of Among Us, but that was planned and social and really lovely!)

*Go to talk to Veronica for a bit and she is wonderful and also Makes Stuff Happen and I am so jealous of my amazing friend with her amazing executive functioning

*Ezri made meatloaf and it's wicked tasty

*I did not die at Parent Teacher Conferences. I even did not get yelled at. It was altogether less awful than feared, although gosh I hate conferences so much, please don't make me talk to adults ever

*I did also get to talk to some of my coworkers about their pets, so that part was good

*One of my Advanced Math kids did a _really_ nice job on the most recent project that is clear and beautiful and exemplary, and I'm gonna go ahead and let that sit in my heart and just not think about the other kids in that class.

*After conferences I got A Food and sat down and reread Mira Grant's novella "The Day The Dead Came to Show and Tell" which is such a colossally bad choice to read right now in this environment that it felt _wonderful_ to consume. If I decide to be really brave, I'll go ahead and reread Last Stand of the California Browncoats. The political landscape is still a little too raw to reread the Newsflesh trilogy proper.

*(For reference, the story I read is about being a teacher during a horrific pandemic and experiencing a schoolwide outbreak and cascading mechanical failures due to bad political decisions and security theatre. Very nearly everyone dies. GOOD TIMES!)

*Did I mention that I did not play any video games? This means that I ~experienced boredom~ which is _absolutely_ a fate worse than death but is probably good for me or whatever.

*Critically important, I fukken _finally_ filmed some ceilidh dance teaching videos for the Burns Night I'm contributing to, after telling the person putting video together that I would have them "probably Monday, maybe Tuesday." I mean, I did email on Tuesday to be all "yeah, I have a killer headache but I'll try to get them tomorrow afternoon. Sigh. It took me two hours total to finish, which is not as embarrassing as when the task you've been ignoring takes literal minutes, but now, bless, they are done.

Also I wore the marshmallow dress but without any poofing and somehow that was okay? I don't wanna think too hard about gender right now, but it was easier to look nice in than finding my kilt etc, some of the pieces of which are currently in need of replacement.

Now I'ma go to bed. Gnight.
