The Bootie mashup "monthly" downloads are actually one of the ways I find new music, as it were! I can't always rely on the students to give me info about the Hot New (and it's hard to keep up --apparently TSwift is no longer a thing, (but Old Taylor is still a'ight).)
One of the things I appreciate about really good mashups (of which most of NeilCic applies) is that they sound like music. I'm much _much_ less interested in the "here's 25 songs in four minutes WOOO!" nonsense, unless it's done very pointedly like Four Chord Song. (them ending with the lyric "doesn't that sound familiar?" is *chef kiss*)
