Everything ends. People die, people leave, buildings get sold and burn down. You have a few more years ahead of you where you will be surrounded by more beginnings than endings, but eventually you will reach an age where there will be more endings than beginnings, and there is no choice but to get used to it.

There will be a new best NewYear's Eve party on the East Coast, sporting most of the delights you list. werewulf will have to settle for throwing the best party in the Midwest. You can probably throw a pretty good one of your own; remember, quantity does not equal quality.
