Yuletide letters!
HI AUTHOR HI AUTHOR HI AUTHOR!
I am pretty excited about this whole Yuletide thing. It's my second year doing it, so I've gotten rid of some of the jitters, and am now all about the excitement value. This is my letter to you, giving you a little bit of a better idea of what I'm interested in.
First off, I am super super happy that you want to write for one of my obscure and strange little fandoms. This is awesome! I will be happy with whatever sort of madness you write, because you wrote it for me, and that is pretty great of you.
At any rate, as you might have noticed from the COPIOUS NOTES I provided in my prompt, I babble too much. Have some EVEN MORE babbling!
I want you to write something you enjoy and are comfortable with. That means you absolutely do not have to write porn, or gen or kink or whatever unless you want to. I am excited to get stories in my fandoms, I am not super-picky about the contents of those stories.
In general, I prefer happy to just about anything else. I really like sweet little domestic scenes between characters who live together (be that platonic or romantic). I like silly, and I enjoy crackfic, but it's not usually my first choice. I like adventures and action. I love dancing, and will be very happy if you work it in, even if the story doesn't typically include it. I'm a mathematics major, and if you throw random mathematical asides in, I will squee and bounce.
My big passion is sexuality, and kink, and gender, and sex, and relationships. I find the ranges of expression to be just *fascinating*, and anything that plays or talks about any of those is likely to make me excited.
Sad stuff is not off the table, but it'll make me cry, because I'm a woobie.
Sexually, I am a queer kinky poly genderfucker. I am likely to be scared off by very little, and if you write a kink because you are passionate about it, it is very likely that I will find that hot. I especially like impossible fetishes (genderswap, xenophilia (but NOT beastiality, please keep all parties consenting and sentient), multiple copies of oneself, mad science), rope, dom/sub stuff, electricity, and massive amounts of creativity. I try to live by the line "Everything in this room is a sex toy".
I am turned off in a big way by dubiousconsent and noncon -I find them triggering. I also don't like misogyny/queer bashing, superiority, humiliation/degredation, dishonesty (especially cheating on a partner --but I do very much like polyfic or moresomes, where everyone knows what's going on), and when the author blatantly fails to do the research on a sex act or toy.
I hope this helps out some, or at least is interesting. I am absolutely serious that if you are writing Middleman, I will read JUST ABOUT ANYTHING. Really, I'm a pretty mellow kinda girl. Just write something awesome that you have fun putting together, and I will probably enjoy it. I like it when people are passionate and happy about the things they make.

Harry Potter and the Eagle of Truthiness (Harry Potter/Stephen Colbert crossover. Guess who the new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher is?)
Geniuses (Calvin (of "& Hobbes") and Jason Fox (of Foxtrot) slash. This is pretty much my biggest OTP of all time. If you want to disregard my entire Yuletide list and write me a Calvin/Jason fic from the geniuses universe, that would be okay too.)
Once More, With Feeling (BBC's Sherlock, him and John getting together partly due to parental meddling and OH it is so good)
The Paladin Protocol (Big Bang Theory, Sheldon/Penny, how they got together. Long but lovely.)
And last, but DEFINITELY not least, by Yuletide gift from last year:
Four Times Alexis Was The Adult (and one more) (Castle, platonic Alexis/Rick running around and just...being wonderful together. Melts my happy little heart.)
