xkcd was a weird experience today: I felt like all the jokes were almost right but slightly weaker than they would have been if Randall had done them. (Except for the first one, which was pretty funny but doesn't really count.)
Scalzi is great but sometimes too much of a snark overload for me. (His fictional characters tend to be the same way.) It's wonderful reading for when you're in the mood for that sort of thing.
ETA: And the Penmonkey Paean is several kinds of awesome and I shall hang its first line on my wall, next to Gene Wolfe's "I am going to tell you something really cool."
