I'm not sure. I think my biggest problem is that they could've easily asked me whether I preferred a male or female agent to do the scan, but instead seemed content to just assume a gender for me, and a preferred gender for my molester.

I think calling for a female agent would've certainly been better in terms of not assigning a gender to me, (or at least, less assigning a gender to me) but I think it opens up a differently problematic situation in which what if I would prefer a male agent. This could be because I am gay, and don't wish to be touched by someone in a sexual way without them being aware of that fact, for reasons of worrying them, or any other reason really.

It would've been the work of seconds to ask what I preferred (and the answer would have been "female") and it would've leave me feeling like my gender isn't real.
