Trigger warning? How 'bout the trigger of seeing kittens associated with such foul garbage?

I ride my bike for errands when I can do so on a route safe for cycling. Sadly, we have a chicken-and-the egg situation, because there's not a lot of bike-safe routes in our area. We don't build bike lines 'cos there are no bikes on the road. We don't have bikes on the road because there are no bike lanes.
