Just a bit of thoughtstream...I never claimed to make sense...
I just rewatched Eminem's "Mosh" video...I'd forgotten how impressed I was with that video.
Been catching up on LJ's. I devided you guys up: LR, Not LR (but still teen-types that I know IRL) Adults, and Sluggites. I've gotten through LR, and partway through adults.
There is a STRIKING difference between you two lots. It's politics mostly, and seriousness. Schoolkids talk about that: school, and gossip, and love and lust and like. The adults have been talking about hurricanes and stupid presidents, and thousands of people dying.
I'm not sure theres anything wrong with any of that. People talk about what's important to them, and I do not like to see children grow up too quickly.
And yes, you are children, on the whole. Theres a handful or two of you who have passed the 18 year old mark, but I will still think of you as children, possibly until I am an "adult" myself. Children should not be forced to grow up so quickly, no one seems to realize how precious childhood really is. Yet we live in an era where there are disasters, big ones, and ones that can't help but affect us. 9/11, Katrina, the Sniper attacks, these are all things that affect us, and thats completely ignoring the "usual" turbulence we have to deal with-sex, drugs, androck and roll
I don't know what I'm going on about really.
I do not like Katrina. It scares me.
And it does not help that I've been teased about the similarities in our names. Bastards.
I will go now.
