Oh yeah, and I completely forgot to mention...the bottom 12 inches or so of my hair is now a rather kelpish shade of GREEN!

It looks loverly. or, if not loverly, interesting. And interesting is good.

Audrey, the girl in question, has, or, rather, had thick, curly, long white-blonde hair. Naturally. So, of course, she got her head stuck up her rectum and decided it needed to be black. *insert boggle here*

Now, she first tried using a level-1 dye. You know, the stuff that supposedly washed out in 28 days? Yeah, bullshit. She came to school, and her hair was streaked and spotted, but in no way actually covered, with this deadish-rotten muddy greenish black colour. Like, all of it was tinged green, and there were great big splotches amd patches of dark colour.

Two (I imagine rather hellish) days later, she came to school, and it was all much darker, but still patchy and splotchy, there were still bits that were just tinged a nasty green. She tried color remover, she tried bleaching, she actually went to more than one colorist that wouldn't touch her, it was, I'm sure, awful. And it stayed that way for a couple of months, until finally, she found the mother of a friend of ours that would strip it for her. Except, it never did look right. If you looked close, you could see that most of the splotches were still there, they were just only a shade darker than the rest of her hair.

Audrey is, and I kid you not, the reason Clairol has a help line on their dye boxes. It's been a year and a half, and it's still not totally normal again.

Wow. You'd think it would grow out after a year and a half!

Wow, if I had white blonde hair I'd never dye it! Hell, my hair is rather dark brown (it's highlighted... PROFESSIONALLY) and I STILL wouldn't mess with color by myself. Perhaps if it was shorter. Like, guy short. Then it grows out easily and can be cut away...

Anyway, Kat sounds satisfied! Thats all that matters... Just. Never dye it blue. My little brother has this weird illusion that his hair should be blue. So we got the highlighting cap, bleached and then blued his hair. It looked pretty cool actually, for like, a week. Then the blue fades... but not all the way. And so he's left with his gorgeous greek boy dark brown hair, dented with streaks of blonde, streaks of blue, and awful streaks of this nasty green. *shudders* It grows out quickly though...
