In my home, err, town*, street signs that stand on street corners are all blue. The signs that hanng from signal light's are green. It varies by city here as well.
*Technically, I grew up in an Unincorporated Territory of Los Angeles County, but it's a lot easier just saying "town" :-).
From the freeway nearest my house you used to be able to see a tall white tower. I've always wanted to visit it to see what kind of building it is, but I don't know how to get there. It's hard to see it now because there's a lot of construction going on right now. In fact, I think they're building a sound wall so I probably won't ever see it from the freeway again. In FACT, I'm not even sure it's still there. Hmmm.
I wish the greater Los Angeles area wasn't so s p r e a d o u t. Then I might actually be able to walk to interesting places.
