Wheeeeeeee!

I'm currently packing not-so-frantically for Pinewoods. I would like it to be formally noted that it is currently Wednesday, and I don't leave for Pinewoods until Friday morning.

There've been a significant number of posts along the lines of "oh shit, I have four hours to pack everything I own, don't I?" in this journal, so I hope you realize how significant that is. Also, it feels kinda nice to be packing with time to spare.

The number one thing on my mind lately has been this list, and actually...trying to...work through the goals in a hope of completing them.

Don't worry, cynical side of the Sorcyress. It's early yet. I'm sure you'll lose all steam and focus soon and the vast majority will slide by the wayside.

(Don't worry, optimistic side of the Sorcyress. There is a reason your mantra has been for oh so long "I will be better". Ain't no muses here, babygirl. Startkeep going anyways.)

Running secret scary missions in the rain. Also running not-so-secret scary missions. The latter of these was unsuccessful: where do I buy a goddamn swimsuit that I don't deeply hate the cut of, for something like thirty bucks or less? Is that simply an impossibility?

Don't have much to say. Gonna continue my madcap repetitions of 20/10s and see if anything gets done from it.

I got a new suit at City Sports in Harvard Square. Didn't look at lady-suit prices, but they're apt to be sensible and sporty. REI had quite a few lady-suits (and about 4 boy-suits) on clearance, mostly of the tankini variety.

Faked it with exercisewear from Tarjay. Should work out fine, and was much cheaper than the suits at the sports-place-in-Porter-Exchange.

I got a very nice bikini at Marshall's for $14 last weekend. It took forever to find something that fit and was adjustable, as my clothing size still hasn't stabilized.

Also, I haven't been to Pinewoods in many years and really want to "drag" the dancer-boyfriend there. Have fun!

Funny you mention this, because yesterday I started following this open thread on swimming, that includes a lot of talk on finding appropriate swimsuits for genderqueer swimmers.
