My current coping strategy is to go into Macy's, find the clearance rack (usually 40-70% off) and buy the first [predetermined number] of shirts that fit.

No looking at color. No looking at style. No looking at "OMG this is too low-cut!!!". All you're looking to see if "Does it physically fit you?" If it does, you buy it.

I used to add "look at the care instructions" to this process, but avoiding "dry clean only" is impossible, so I just wash 'em in cold on the delicate cycle and hang to dry. Works perfectly.

As for getting dressed, I essentially just close my eyes and grab one shirt and one pair of pants. All of my pants are plain black, and therefore they go with all my shirts.

I apparently have amazing fashion sense when I shop this way... I suppose not thinking is the best way to do something that's purely to impress the brain-dead "fashionistas".
