So, in the past however long it's been since I last did a bookpost, I have read:

The Birthday Burglar and A Very Wicked Headmistress, a pair of short stories by Margaret Mahy. (I was on a bit of a kick.) They're both fun. Neither one is especially spectacular, which is a shame. The very wicked headmistress is an awesome charecter though, and has some lovely lines.

The Great Piratical Rumbustification and The Librarian and the Robbers. Another short story pair by Margaret Mahy. I read both of these aloud to Ksatyr, and he enjoyed them too. The Librarian and the Robbers is wonderful, because hell, librarian! Also, if you squint slightly, you can see the end of that leading to the founding of the Rent-A-Librarian service in The Pirates Mixed Up Voyage.

The Blood and Thunder Adventure on Hurricane Peak, also by Margaret Mahy. It has adventures! Hurricanes! True Love! Maths!! It's a good read --lots of grand adventures and whatnot. Makes me smile.

Bloody Jack: Being an account of the Curious Adventures of Mary "Jacky" Faber, Ship's Boy, by L.A.Meyer. This book was reccomended to the family long ago by the wonderous Chris who works at Crossroads Games and Books. If you're ever in Bridgton, Maine, go look Crossroads up --it's an awesome store. Bloody Jack is a female disuised as a male historical fiction that's quite good -lots of well written bits, and Mary is a very likeable charecter.

Are YOU Dave Gorman? by Danny Wallace and Dave Gorman. First off, Danny Wallace is a complete card! He's a wonder to read, as he has these awesome adventures that mean you just want to meet him. His pal Dave is pretty wonderful too. The two of them go on a grand adventure based around a bet that Dave can't meet "loads" of other Dave Gormans.

Sandman: The Kindly Ones by Neil Gaimen. ...Yeah. *sniffles*

Sandman: The Wake by Neil Gaimen. Well, see, I couldn't just leave off at number nine! So I stayed up far too late to finish reading this one. And yeah. Gaimen is a complete god. I actually have a piece of fanart that I ought to finish doodling sometime and post.

Having read those two pretty much finishes up my Sandman knowladge. All that I NEED to read are one of Death's graphic novels, and Endless Nights

I've read all of those books before, at least once, with the exception of the two Sandman graphic novels. My elementary school library must have had Mahy, as all three of the books I read outside TPMUV were familier.

Remaining on the booklist are the Serenity comic book, a collection of comics called 32 Stories, the second Bloody Jack book, the first Montmorency book, another Rob Thomas book called Slave Day, A String of Pearls, as found in a collection of ninteenth century melodrama, a David Handler novel called Adverbs, an autobiography called So Many Books, So Little Time, and The Adventures of Blue Avenger.

All of those will be first time reads except for Montmorency and Blue Avenger. Yep.
